I'm Gabby Shanahan, and I’m running to bring integrity back to the office, so families like mine and yours can flourish.

My promise is simple: Lead with integrity. Deliver results. Politicians get rich while we struggle with rising prices and crushing property taxes. Haven’t you had enough? I’ll always be on your side.

My Plan is SIMPLE and HONEST

I’m raising my family here in our community, working a couple of jobs to make ends meet. It’s where I’ve built my life, and where I see the strength of working families every single day.

My life has always been about service: at school, in non-profits, in the community, and as a mom. That’s who I am.

I’m not trying to climb a political ladder. I’m not in this for power or a paycheck. I’m in this fight because Illinois needs leaders with integrity, people who stand for something, not just themselves.

I know the cost of living is out of control: the highest taxes in the nation, energy bills crushing families, and college costs through the roof. Families like mine are fighting just to stay here in Illinois.

I’ve got a plan for each of the issues you care about. And the difference is, I actually believe in my plan.

Harry Benton resigned in disgrace after sexual harassment claims from years ago came out. But instead of solving the problems, the political class doubled down. Benton’s replacement, former lobbyist Jessica Dixon Heitman, worked for him, and she admitted that she knew about the harassment. She stayed silent. And now, she’s protecting the very people who protected Benton for all these years.

The issues that impact your life will change. But the core question is always the same: do you have someone in your corner, or someone looking out for themselves? Does your representative have the core beliefs, the integrity, and the strength to stand for what’s right? To stand for you?

I’m Gabby Shanahan. I’m a mom, a neighbor, and a fighter for working families. I’m running for State Representative because we deserve better. We deserve leaders who work for us, with honesty and integrity, on real plans to lower costs and build a future where families can thrive.
