I'm Gabby Shanahan, and I’m running to bring integrity back to the office, so families like mine and yours can flourish.

My promise is simple: Lead with integrity. Deliver results. Politicians get rich while we struggle with rising prices and crushing property taxes. Haven’t you had enough? I’ll always be on your side.

My Plan is SIMPLE and HONEST:

  • Lower prices and the cost of living

  • Create REAL opportunities for our children

  • Honest leadership that drives our community forward

As a graduate of Plainfield Central, I know this community, and that's why Marty and I chose to plant our roots here. But increased taxes and cost of living have me working multiple jobs to make ends meet. I see the resilience of this community and know firsthand the strength we all have to get through hard times.

My life has always been about service: at school, in non-profits, in the community, and as a mom. That’s who I am.

I’m not trying to climb a political ladder. I’m not in this for power or a paycheck. I’m in this fight because Illinois needs leaders with integrity, people who stand for something, not just themselves.

I know the cost of living is out of control: the highest taxes in the nation, energy bills crushing families, and college costs through the roof. Families like mine are fighting just to stay here in Illinois.

I’ve got a plan for each of the issues you care about.

And I know the issues that impact your life will change. But the core question is always the same: do you have someone in your corner, or someone looking out for themselves? Does your representative have the core beliefs, the integrity, and the strength to stand for what’s right? To stand for you?
